CONTENTS:

Following files are part of this Freeware font:
FILE_ID.DIZ (short text description for BBS systems)
		ILAC_STT.TTF
		README.TXT (this file)

This is a scaleable computer font designed after the language shown in
comics published by DC Comics Inc.: "Legion of Super-Hereos" (LSH) and
	"Legionnaires".

INSTALLATION:

This is a fully scaleable TrueType fonts for use with Microsoft Windows V3.1
	or IBM OS/2 (Win-OS/2).
Please refer to your Operating System manual for instructions to install
	this TrueType font.
If you need Adope Type1 PostScript fonts for your computer (as used by IBM,
Commodore Amiga and Atari computers) please use the fully scaleable
Interlac PostScript font by the same author.
If you need an Interlac font for Apple Macintosh computers, please
use the convertion of my font by Joe Sewell (CompuServe ID:74136,360).#
A Hollow version (V2.1) of this font is also available in the Compuserve
Comics library or the America Online Font archive. It's filename is
	"ILAC_HTT.ZIP". Try it out!

HISTORY: (after "Who's Who in the Legion of Super-Heroes #1" - 1988)

"The designated language of the United Planets is Interlac, based on the Terran
English with liberal additions from other Terran languages. In its most basic
form the symbols of the language correspond perfectly to the twenty-six
letters of the English language; the numbering system corresponds to Earth
Base-Ten form. As the official U.P. language, Interlac is thought in schools
throughout the system and is the common form of communication between most
	sentient United Planet races."

I made subtle changes to the original designs for esthetical reasons since this
language was never really "invented" by the Legion of Super-Heroes artists to
	be used as computer font.
I wanted to include the monitor board symbols of the Legion members but this
was not workable because of the complexity of the signs. But as a bonus I have
added the symbol of "Matter-Eater Lad" (ALT+0208). Please refer to the Icon
libraries by various Public Domain authors for more monitor-board symbols of
	the Legion of Super-Heroes.

NOTE:

The INTERLAC font is expressly released as "Freeware" - you are under no
